The UCM is an organization or an activity group in a college environment run by students. UCM usually has specific focus and interest, such as sports, art and culture, academics, entrepreneurship, social, environmental or any other field.

Every college usually has a variety of UKM active on their campus. For example, the UKM Theater, the show Choir UKM, Photography UKM, Debat UKM, Sports UKM, entrepreneurship UKM, Environment UKM, etc. Each UKM has its own self-interest and passionate student in the field of activities that become the focus of the UCM.

The goal of the UCM is to give students the opportunity to develop interest, talent, and skills beyond the academic environment. Through participation in the UCM, students can interact with fellow students who have similar interests, hone skills, as well as expand their knowledge and experience in certain areas.

The UCM also provides a platform for students to develop leadership, teamwork, communications skills, and organizational skills. UKM activities often involve exercises, performances, competition and projects that can increase the skills and experience of students outside of classrooms.
